Come along to our get together every Tuesday and learn how to download your thoughts, ideas and stories onto paper and join in the lively discussions on how to express yourself in the written matter.

We are a relaxed friendly group sharing ideas over a brew and usually go away seeking to improve our writing skills.

The group is mainly focused on fictional work but non-fiction is also covered.

The first hour of each session is spent on an exercise to help with techniques such as plotting, characterisation, scene setting and use of speech.

In the second half, members can read out items they have written - either short pieces or instalments of longer pieces.  There is no compulsion to do any homework or to read anything out loud.

From time to time there is a poetry appreciation workshop
